Properties of necessity.

FOCUS ON SENIOR RESIDENCES / ASSISTED LIVING

Properties in the senior residences and geriatric care facilities segments – i.e. particularly senior apartments with age-appropriate living standards – account for the predominant share of the portfolio, albeit minimum 60%. In order to promote the primary strategy, the company can also invest in undeveloped, accessible properties. The company itself can execute the relevant construction projects. Up to 40% of the value of the real estate portfolio may be invested according to the secondary strategy.

Properties should feature a proportion of services and commercial space, in order to provide appropriate infrastructure such as restaurants, medical practices and out-patient care facilities, thus fostering the attractiveness of the residential share. Properties that offer the possibility of intermixed residential use are also regarded as senior residences.
